Jaime's Story

by Jaime

I dated someone who told me he was negative, and we had unprotected sex every time we had sex after he announced this to me. We broke up when I went off to trade school, and were to get back together when I got back, but I found out in trade school that I was positive. Everything kind of fell into place as to who I could have contracted it from as far as the timing goes and all. I confronted him, and at first, he said that he didn't have it, then eventually, he confessed. Now, this is where I stand. I couldn't cope at first, but then I slowly (2 years of mental strengthening) realized that I am going to have to live with it because you can't hide it, and you can't hide from it. So here is where I stand now. PROUD to be POZ!!
